Since commencement in April 2002, KIT has operated three container berths that can readily accommodate large-sized vessels (two 50K-ton berth and two 20K-ton berths). With the launch of 4 additional berths at Phase II-2 scheduled for 2004, KIT looks forward to increased flexibility and efficiency in its terminal operation.

KIT is equipped with 2 Container Freight Stations as well as a Container Yard capable of warehousing up to 63,800 TEU at a time. Its quayside of 1,950m is served by an integrated computer system that commands 8 Super Post-Panamax quay cranes and 10 Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes. With its state-of-the-art equipment and management system, KIT ensures that shippers and shipping lines receive world-class service promptly and accurately.
