KIT received the maiden call of CMA-CGM's M/V "Pacific Link" with a capacity of 8,283 TEU.

On 25 February, Korea International Terminals (KIT) received the maiden call of CMA-CGM's M/V "Pacific Link" with a capacity of 8,283 TEU. CMA-CGM's decision to send an 8,000 TEU vessel to KIT was an acknowledgement of the terminal's capabilities in handling mega vessels.
Prior to the calling of "Pacific Link", the largest container
vessel entering Gwangyang Bay was a 6,600 TEU ship from Maersk-Sealand in April 2003.
